Central Control Panel REEF Sting RS-202P connects to Base Station REEF String RS-202BS, conducts initial data analysis, decodes messages and feeds them onto the PC of the operator with the installed REEF Strizh software. In cases of power failures or software malfunctions on the central computer, REEF String-202P serves as a reserve fully functional Control Panel without losing any of the on-site transmitter signals.

How the Central Control Panel RS-202P works:

Base Station REEF String RS-202BS receives radio messages, conducts initial data analysis and transmits them through to port RS 485 at the Control Panel REEF String RS-202P, which decodes and shows them on LCD indicator (in autonomous mode) or sends them through RS 232 port to the Operator’s PC with installed REEF Strizh RS-202 software for their further analysis and presentation.

All received messages, transmission failures and operators’ activities history are recorded in the power-independent Control Panel’s Log and may be viewed whenever needed. 

In normal transmission mode Control Panel continuously checks communication with the Operator’s PC and its status. In case of a shutdown or software failures Control Panel automatically switches into autonomous (manual) mode of operation. After communication between the PC and Control Panel is restored, the latter automatically transmits to the Operator all messages received during the PC malfunction, and returns to the normal operation mode.
